By creating a Blocktopia account you agree to these terms. They're written to be read — plain language first, the formalities second.
The short version
Blocktopia is a community platform for Minecraft players and server owners. By creating an account, you agree to play fair, respect other players, and follow the rules below. We agree to protect your data, be transparent about how the service works, and treat your legacy with care.
Your account
- You must be 16 or older to use Blocktopia. We do not offer accounts to anyone under 16.
- Some servers are adults-only (18+); you must be 18 or older to access them.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secret. One account per person.
- Don't impersonate other players or claim a Minecraft username that isn't yours.
Community standards
The Blocktopia platform — the site itself, reviews, and public profiles — is held to family-safe standards. On the platform there is no:
- Harassment, hate speech, or threats toward other players
- Spam, scams, or attempts to deceive other players
- Exploiting bugs or automation to inflate stats
Individual servers set their own audience. Adults-only servers are permitted when clearly labelled and restricted to players 18 or older. Automatic age-gating for joins routed through Blocktopia is rolling out; until then, and for direct (public-IP) joins, each owner remains responsible for enforcing access to their server. Family-safe servers must uphold the standards they declare.
We strive to enforce these standards and we act on every report, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of every server or player. Supervision of a minor's play remains the responsibility of their parent or guardian. Serious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Server owners
Listing a server on Blocktopia is free. Server owners must accurately represent their server — no misleading tags, no fake player counts, no bait-and-switch content, and accurate audience labelling (family-safe vs adults-only). Owners self-declare their safety standards today; a Blocktopia-reviewed safety badge is a forthcoming standard, and abuse of any safety claim or badge will result in permanent removal.
Our principles
Blocktopia never sells gameplay advantage. No pay-to-win, no randomised rewards, no loot boxes — not now, not ever.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (reviews, profile text, screenshots). You give us permission to display it on the platform. If you delete your account, we remove your personal content; your stats and achievements may remain anonymised to preserve server leaderboards.
Changes
We'll give at least 30 days' notice before any material change to these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
